Carola Scolari has a Master´s Degree in Psychology and is a Board Certified
Behavior Analyst. She is passionate about integrating behavior analytic principles with
Psychotherapy approaches. With over 12 years of experience providing counseling
services to individuals, families and couples, she offers useful and effective communication strategies to strengthen and rebuild nurturing relationships between parents and their children. Carola is honored to have helped teenagers and adults achieve positive and sustainable changes in their lives using a holistic therapeutic approach. Her training and experience is deeply rooted in: Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Gottman Couples Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Certified Shame-Informed Specialist (for Eating Disorders), and Systemic Psychotherapy.
As a counselor, Carola believes it is necessary to understand the importance of
emotions, effective communication, compassion, and empathy to provide the
necessary tools for her clients. She knows the foundation of a person centered
treatment is a lead that encourages acceptance, provides support, and most
importantly can create and inspire motivation. She places high value on
personal integrity, ethics, and treating wholeheartedly.
Originally from Argentina, Carola is fluent in both Spanish and English. She is passionate about learning and continuing to improve her skills as a professional, as well as designing and
providing training for other professionals. She has worked in various
countries, such as United States, United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Chile and
Uruguay.
