Coping with COVID-19
For this gorgeous #MindcheckMonday we planned to write on Panic Buying, however we are proud of Cayman, our grocery store management, and government decisions to start limiting as a prevention tool, as well as the early, private hour for our elderly. There are all sorts of reasons why people start to panic buy, or some might say just being precautionary and preparing. An exercise one can do if they relate to this, is ask yourself what you are truly afraid of? How do you deal with that fear? How is that fear currently impacting the state of your life? In the book we are reading aloud, “Get Out of Your Mind & Into Your Life” we briefly discussed what coping mechanisms we currently use to deal with things that bring us pain, and then we discovered if these brought us long term relief or only short term. I would like to pose that question now, relating to how we are dealing with the realities of COVID-19 on our lives. What are the ways we are coping with the thoughts around COVID-19? 1-10 (10 being really helping) how much are those strategies helping Gus (mentally)? Is these anything else we could try? Just a thought…
